About this Laboratory

Our laboratory uses combined molecular and cellular approaches to determine the mechanisms underlying cell growth and migration in the ovary and testis, both during normal foetal development and during cancer progression.

Current Research

  • Mechanisms of ovarian cancer metastasis - Our current work is determining the detailed mechanisms underlying the spread of cancerous ovarian granulosa cells in order to develop new therapeutic strategies to block tumour metastasis.

  • Mechanisms of foetal urogenital system development - We are studying the roles of particular genes in the formation of the foetal ovary, testis, and kidney. Information gained from these studies is integral to the development of better therapies and treatments for reproductive tract disease in humans.
